Guided-blended collaborative learning in speaking class: Voices of non-native English teachers and students from eastern Indonesia

The purpose of this qualitative study is to explore and address two important questions from ten qualified non-native English teachers five students who have been actively involved as research participants: (1) how help improve their speaking performance through guided-blended collaborative learning, (2) view learning a way improving students’ performance. Based on an in-depth interview with analysis documents, it clear that when gave both synchronous asynchronous feedback, the students' skills improved. data has analyzed thematically showed successful should be utilized teach foreign language, they found, use following strategies teaching GBCL: 1) Mixing learning; 2) Being guided or controlled by teachers; 3) Forming groups based roles; 4) Peer tutoring evaluation; 5) Collaborative integrated tasks technology. In addition, we would like future studies real experimental control class designs conduct blended learning.
